Edward Norton‘s underrated mystery thriller movie is officially leaving Netflix‘s library this week. 2006’s The Illusionist film currently holds a Certified Fresh score of 74% on Rotten Tomatoes, based on 193 reviews.

When will Edward Norton’s The Illusionist movie leave Netflix?

Norton’s underrated 2006 movie The Illusionist only has less than two days left before it officially exits Netflix’s film library this Wednesday, June 17. In the film, Norton plays a brilliant master magician who decides to use illusions to reunite with the woman he loves. It also starred Paul Giamatti, Jessica Biel, Aaron Johnson, Eleanor Tomlinson, Rufus Sewell, Eddie Marsan, Jake Wood, and Tom Fisher. During its theatrical run, the movie grossed over $87 million at the box office against a budget of around $16.5 million.

“A master magician named Eisenheim vies with Crown Prince Leopold of Vienna for the hand of noblewoman Sophie, the girl he once loved. He brings his considerable powers to bear on the prince, as she is about to be named royal fiancée. However, a police inspector named Uhl tries to warn Eisenheim that he is playing a very dangerous game.

The movie was written and directed by Neil Burger. It was loosely inspired by Steven Millhauser’s short story Eisenheim the Illusionist. Executive producers were Jane Garnett, Ted Liebowitz, Joey Horvitz, and Tom Nunan. It was produced by Brian Koppelman, David Levien, Michael London, Cathy Schulman, and Bob Yari. The creative team consisted of composer Philip Glass, director of photography Dick Pope, editor Naomi Geraghty, production designer Ondrej Nekvasil, and costume designer Ngila Dickson.
