Vision Quest | Woodroze Sustainable Optics

Woodroze Sustainable Optics are sunglasses made from sustainably sourced wood. Only the finest pieces of bamboo, red sandal wood, zebra wood, ebony wood, walnut, oak and Canadian maple are used – and all of it is either responsibly harvested, or recycled after it was used for other purposes.

Quality construction truly puts Woodroze sunnies in a category on their own. While the company offers 100% wood iterations like the Dozer or Buffalo, we all know you have to treat your wood sunglasses with a little more care than the plastic ones you shamelessly let live at the bottom of your backpack. Knowing the abuse you (may) put your shades through, we recommend a hybrid pair like the Polekat – premium wood that features acetate layers to increase strength, without diminishing the style.

All the frames feature Carl Zeiss lenses, some of the very best in the market, and offer 100% protection against UVA/UVB rays. And if you are ready to jump into the craze on colored, polarized lenses, they have something for you as well. Plus if you see yourself on the beach, by the lake, or near a river all summer long, pick up a special pair of Woodroze frames that not only look good and keep you from squinting, but they also float. Fret not when your glasses go ‘splash’.
