Creative Collabs | Living Art: Vans x Eley Kishimoto Collection

A new collab is available now. British husband-wife design duo Mark Eley & Wakako Kishimoto founded Eley Kishimoto in 1992. (And no, you don’t need to go far to find the meaning of the label’s title – last names mushed together always work pretty well.) What also goes together seamlessly are the bright and geometric prints of Eley Kishimoto, slathered all over the Vans styles we’ve come to love and wear often through the years.

Available now, Vans has taken styles like the SK8-Hi Slim, Authentic, Classic Slip-On and Era, and let Mark & Wakako run wild wrapping them. The result is what can very fittingly be described as modern pop art. And the crazy thing about vibrant, unique, somewhat quirky footwear, is that it’s super wearable. Keep the rest of your threads understated, and allow the attention to be directed at the floor. Or find your way to an Eley Kishimoto art installation, and let the mixture of patterns become an optical sensation for everyone around.
