Yeah, something tells me they aren’t soulmates.

Let’s all talk about 29-year-old Rachel Doran from Cleator Moir, Cumbria. We need to talk about her because Doran was all ready to get married to 27-year-old Chris Mahone until she changed her mind and became a runaway bride instead. Oh, she also took £13,000 (about $17,000) from her man that was supposed to go towards his bachelor party.

Doran, who was already out on bail over a hotel credit card fraud, was supposed to plan a bachelor party for Mahone and 29 of his friends. But when Mahone and his pals arrived at the airport ready to fly out for his bachelor party they discovered that Doran had charged them about $600 each and provided them each with fake boarding passes and documents appearing to be from a local travel agency.

Doran then fled and went into hiding.

A Cumbria Constabulary spokesperson told MailOnline: “

Cumbria Constabulary can confirm that a 29-year-old woman, from Cleator Moor, was arrested yesterday evening on suspicion of fraud by false representation. She has since been released under investigation while enquiries continue.”

The extent of Rachel’s reported deception then became apparent and the friends were left stranded at Leeds and Bradford Airport as Chris desperately tried to speak to her.

Rachel had already left their home by the time he had got home. Sources close to Rachel, aged 27, said she believed that Chris had cheated on her and wanted revenge.

Mahone’s friends deny that he ever cheated, but Mahone still took it to his Facebook to apologize to his pals for having been scammed.

“Words cannot describe the pain and feelings that are playing with my head today. I totally want to apologize to all my fantastic mates that were gonna celebrate what was supposed to be my stag do [bachelor party]. I can’t apologize enough. I’m sorry boys I really am.”

Well, for now Doran is not behind bars for now but the investigation continues. As for Mahone, let’s hope the next partner he chooses to marry doesn’t rob him.
