An Australian man live streaming a Pay Per View boxing match on Facebook was called and ordered to stop by his TV provider.
The stream, which was reportedly viewed by around 150,000 Facebook users until provider Foxtel ordered him to stop, featured the highly anticipated Mundine v Green fight. While thousands were watching it for free via the Facebook Live stream, a Foxtel employee called the streamer in order to demand that he stop.
The man showed took the call while streaming, with the Foxcon employee informing him that he was committing a “criminal offence” by broadcasting the fight to his followers. The streamer is reluctant to stop the Facebook Live broadcast, branding the complaint “unbelievable.” “I don’t think I can stop streaming, mate,” the man said, adding: “I think I’ve got the right to do it. I’ve paid for it.”

“A good fight’s about to start and guys wanna watch it, y’know?” He continued. “People all over the world are watching this… 80, 90,000 people are watching this, mate, and you’re the bearer of bad news.” The man then asked if he’d be given a refund, with the Foxcon employee inevitably refusing.
