Isaac Hempstead Wright Returns For Game of Thrones Season 6

At the end of Game of Thrones Season 4, Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright) and his companions located the Three-Eyed-Raven beyond the Wall and encountered the elf-like Children. That brought Bran’s storyline up to the end of the fifth novel in George R.R. Martin’s series, A Dance with Dragons.

After a season off from Game of Thrones, Bran Stark will be back next season according to a new interview with Hempstead Wright. While speaking with The Irish Examiner, Hempstead Wright said “I can’t say a lot but I am back this season… It’s going to get particularly interesting with Bran. He has some interesting visions.”

Presumably this means that Kristian Nairn will also be back as Hodor, with Ellie Kendrick as Meera Reed, both of whom survived the events of the fourth season finale.

Hempstead Wright was also asked about Kit Harington and the ultimate fate of his character, Jon Snow.

“I don’t know (if he will come back),” noted Hempstead Wright. “He’s said he’s not. I wish he would because I love Kit and because the character’s so cool. Who knows? We start filming series six at the end of this month, so we’ll see.”

Game of Thrones Season 6 will return to HBO in early 2016.
