Nintendo of America President and COO Reggie Fils-Aime has something to say regarding the inherent value of new home consoles heading into the 2014 Holiday season, and what he told The Wall Street Journal may not come off as much of a surprise to you:
“The good news, for us, is that we’re presenting the best value right now in new home consoles…$299, includes two games; it’s a compelling proposition for consumers this holiday…For us the message is simple, you want to play these great games, you want to have these fantastic experiences, you have to upgrade to the Wii U.”
He does have a point, though, as two games plus a Wii U is a good deal. Also, let’s consider the fact that Super Smash Bros. is nearly upon us. That alone is enough reason to pick up a Wii U, whether it’s via a bundle purchase or all by its lonesome.
