Top Gear Filming Outback Road Trip

The UK Top Gear trio have been spotted tearing around the Northern Territory in luxury performance cars.

In Australia filming a 22nd series for the BBC, Jeremy Clarkson and co. were seen on rural roads near Darwin on Tuesday sporting a yellow Bentley Continental, a Nissan GTR and a BMW M3 (below).

There aren’t too many details surrounding the boys’ latest road trip however an image of the same yellow Bentley on the Australian Top Gear website would appear to show the crew has travelled as far as Uluru.

According to a News Corp report, Top Gear touched down in the Northern Territory on Monday and are in back in Australia to test out their vehicles against convoys of road trains on the new open speed limit section of the Stuart Highway. Others stops along the trip may result in filming sessions at the Pine Creek open pit mine and the heritage-listed Kakadu National Park later this week, potentially making it a 2,000km journey for the Top Gear drivers.

Another less likely rumour has the trio recreating the road trip seen in the latest film from cult comedy heroes The Inbetweeners.
