WATCH: News Reporter says “F*ck it, I Quit” Live on Air

Typically when people quit their job it involves little more than handing in a notice and, depending upon whether or not you enjoyed your time at the company, leaving with good memories and a happy face, or with your head hung low as you pray the next job you stumble into will be a better one.

However, KTVA reporter Charlo Greene quit her job in perhaps the most spectacular fashion ever seen on TV, as she revealed herself to be the owner of the Alaskan cannabis club whilst reporting on marijuana legalization during a news piece.

After declaring that she would be using all of her energy to easier access to marijuana in the state, Greene said: “As for this job, well, not that I have a choice but, fuck it, I quit.”

The camera then cut to another reporter, who awkwardly offered viewers an apology before stating that they would “be right back.” KTVA News issued a further apology via its Twitter account.

Following her sensational announcement, Greene then started an Indiegogo campaign for cannabis reform, writing: “I’m Charlo Greene, the president and CEO of the Alaska Cannabis Club – Alaska’s only legal medical marijuana resource.

“I just quit my news reporting job on live TV to announce that I am redirecting all of my energy toward helping to end a failed drug policy that has ruined the lives of far too many Americans.”

Below is a lengthier version of Greene’s announcement (albeit slightly more blurry and without the hilarious stifled laughs):
