Reporter Kjersti Flaa recalls her experience with Blake Lively in now-viral 2016 interview
Reporter Kjersti Flaa shared her “traumatic experience” while interviewing Blake Lively in 2016. She told Page Six that she initially felt “uncomfortable,” which later turned into “anger.” However, the journalist admitted that she kept her calm because she didn’t want to get “blacklisted.”
During the now-viral 2016 interview, Lively was pregnant and arrived with her co-star, Parker Posey. So, Flaa congratulated the “Age of Adeline” actress, mentioning her “little bump.” But it took an awkward turn after Lively fired back, “Congrats on your little bump.” While she pointed fingers at the reporter, the latter’s uneasiness seemed evident in the video.
Furthermore, Flaa tried to continue the conversation and asked about her wardrobe in the film. This question seemingly didn’t sit well with the actress once again. She hit back at Flaa and said, “Everyone wants to talk about the clothes, but I wonder if they would ask the men about the clothes.” As per the clip, she ignored the interviewer and continued the conversation with Posey. The latter, too, behaved in the same manner.
Recalling the incident, Flaa told the outlet that she could “really understand” the situation at first. Slowly, she seemed to sense that her guests were “ignoring” her. The journalist said she couldn’t take action because she knew her career would be affected. She allegedly feared that if she did something, Lively’s publicist could “blacklist” her.
“So I just sat there and then I started getting more and more frustrated and angry and upset and all these emotions because I was like, I couldn’t believe they were actually doing it. I was just in shock,” Flaa added.
