Enver Gjokaj Will Co-star In Marvel’s ‘Agent Carter’

Back in 2012, Enver Gjokaj had a small role  in The Avengers as a policeman. But he’s about to reenter the Marvel Cinematic Universe in a much bigger way.

Deadline is reporting that Gjokaj has been signed to co-star in Marvel’s upcoming “Agent Carter” TV series that follows the adventures of Peggy Carter (Hayley Atwell) after the events of Captain America: The First Avenger and before she went on to become one of the founding members of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the Marvel One-Shot Agent Carter.

Gjokaj will portray Agent Daniel Sousa, a “sweet and honorable” war hero who suffered “a crippling leg injury.”

Prior to this, Gjokaj’s biggest role was Victor, one of the main characters of Joss Whedon’s “Dollhouse.” He has also appeared in the feature films The Express, Eagle Eye and Taking Chance in addition to several television roles including guest spots on “Lie To Me,” “Community,” “Person of Interest,” “Dexter,” “The Unit,” “Extant” and “The Walking Dead.”

“Agent Carter” is expected to premiere on ABC during the midseason, to fill the gap between the first half of “Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” Season 2 and the second half of the season in 2015. The first season of “Agent Carter” will be eight episodes.
