Six Flags Announces New Justice League, Joker & Harley Quinn Rides

Ever since Disney purchased Marvel back in 2009, it’s been rumored that the Marvel Superheroes would have a greater presence at the Disney theme parks despite Marvel’s pre-existing deal with Universal Orlando.

However, DC Comics already had a relationship with the Six Flags theme parks. And in 2015, that partnership will expand in a big way.

Six Flags has revealed that a number of new DC Comics inspired rides will make their debut next year. The most intriguing ride is Justice League: Battle for Metropolis, which will be coming to Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags St. Louis.

Justice League: Battle for Metropolis is a 3D dark ride that allows fans shoot lasers while traveling through the Hall of Justice and Metropolis after Joker and Lex Luthor capture Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Supergirl, Cyborg, Flash and Green Lantern.

Six Flags Over Georgia is getting two Batman villain themed rides: The Joker Chaos Coaster and Harley Quinn Spinsanity. And Batman: The Ride is slated to open at Six Flags Fiesta Texas in San Antonio. Batman: The Ride has previously been opened at seven different Six Flags theme parks.
