Tatiana Maslany Is Critic’s Choice Again

The hit SPACE series “Orphan Black,” led by actress Tatiana Maslany (who reigns from Regina), are no strangers to awards – this past weekend Maslany won the Critic’s Choice Award for best actress in a drama (for the second year in a row), while the show is leading in Directors Guild of Canada Awards nominations with six in total.

Maslany beat such competition in the best actress category as Robin Wright (“House of Cards”) and Julianna Margulies (“The Good Wife”). Other winners of the night included Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who won for best actress in a comedy series, Matthew McConaughey won for best actor in a drama series (for “True Detective”), and the series “Orange is the New Black” won for best comedy series. “Shark Tank” took home the title for best reality series, and “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” was awarded for being the best talk show. Meanwhile, nominations for the Directors Guild of Canada Awards were just announced, and “Orphan Black” received the most, including best drama series. Celebrating its 13th year, the 2014 awards Gala takes place in Toronto on Saturday, October 25th.
