Renault Megane RS 265 Australian Pricing And Specs

An updated version of the popular Australian hatchback choice, the Renault Megane RS265, is on its way to Australian shores for a showroom launch later this month.

The new-look Megane is well ahead of the RS 275’s third-quarter rollout and comes as part of a simplified model range featuring a number of exterior modifications as part of the manufacture’s new design identity .

Renault has cut the RS range down to two levels of trim- the $43,990 Cup and new $47,990 Cup Premium grades, replacing both the Trophy and Trophy+. Remodelled headlights and a larger version of the Renault logo make up a couple of the notable cosmetic alterations while the seven-inch R-Link infotainment system will come standard for both models.

Available in seven body colours, The 7.5L/100km Cup features keyless entry and fuel-saving “Stop & Start” start and 18-inch Tibor alloy wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport tyres and the R.S Dynamic Management System, a dashboard setting enabling the driver to switch between different level settings of adjusted Electronic Stability Control, Emergency Brake Assist and engine output.

Cup Premium upgrades include leather Recaro bucket seats, a rear view camera, 19-inch alloy wheels with Continental’s ContiSportContact tyres.

“The inclusion of the new RS Monitor system with RS Replay is another exciting addition to the Megane RS 265 range. This system allows customers a rare insight into the operations of their vehicle through displays such as power and torque curves, G-Force diagrams, lap times and throttle information. In addition customers are also able to utilise the RS Replay functionality which enables them to upload a race track and map their performance against this. Once again this technology is rarely seen in this vehicle class and provides an engaging and unique way for customers to interact with their vehicle,” Renault Australia boss Justin Hocevar said.

“The new brand identity has already proved immensely popular with customers on our award-winning Clio range and we are confident that the new design will attract more new customers to the Megane R.S. 265.”

The Renault Megane 265 range will go on sale Monday, June 23rd.
