Danielle Savre & Stephen Martines Haunt ‘Supernatural: Tribes’

It seems that there is one sure way to be a part of the “Supernatural: Tribes” cast: get a role on “The Vampire Diaries” first.

After previously casting “Vampire Diaries” veterans Lucien Laviscount, Nathaniel Buzolic and Sean Faris, the creative team behind “Supernatural: Tribes” has signed another former “Vampire Diaries” actor, Stephen Martines. According to early reports, Martines will play Detective Freddie Costa, a mentor of sorts to Laviscount’s newly turned monster hunter, Ennis. However, Costa is also on the take from the monster families that control Chicago. Martines has also appeared in “Pacific Blue,” “Burn Notice,” “The Mentalist” and “The Closer.”

Danielle Savre (pictured above) is also joining “Supernatural: Tribes” as one of the female leads. Savre’s character will be Margo, “the acting head of the leading shapeshifter family” who feels threatened by the return of her brother, David (Buzolic) after he returns to the family from his attempt to live as a human.

Savre had a minor role on the first season of “Heroes,” in addition to guest appearances in “The X-Files,” “Charmed,” “Malcolm In The Middle” and “CSI: Miami.”

The characters from “Supernatural: Tribes” will be introduced in a backdoor pilot episode of “Supernatural” later this season. If it goes forward to series, “Supernatural: Tribes” will likely debut next fall.
