First Look: Iron Patriot #1

You have seen a couple of these pages before, especially if you checked out my exclusive interview with Ales Kot, writer of Iron Patriot, Zero, and Secret Avengers (with some exclusive preview pages of that book as well). But here’s some new art as well from the new James Rhodes solo book due out March 26, from Kot and Garry Brown, wherein he fully embraces the star-spangled armor that Norman Osborn created and tarnished.

“James Rhodes has a family. James Rhodes has friends. James Rhodes has a suit and responsibility and dreams and hopes, and he just realized he needs a new plan;” Kot says. “Something that will be more in touch with who he is and what he wants.” He’s also promised that Rhodey will die within the first few issues.

As far as reviews go, he believes the main point of being a critic is not to pass yourself off as the final arbiter of quality passing holy judgment on a work of art, but rather just to share opinions so that the reader can decide whether or not the critic is someone whose tastes generally align with theirs.  If so, that reviewer is one whose work you can trust if you're curious about a particular title.  If not, cue loud, angry internet vitriol.
