Here are a trio of musicians we’d never expect to see in the same room together, let alone supporting one another.
According to a poster revealed by Morrissey’s fansite True To You, the former The Smiths frontman will be supported by both Sir Tom Jones and Sir Cliff Richard at his US shows in the Los Angeles Sports Arena and Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.
The shows, which will take place on May 10th and June 21st respectively, are intended to promote Morrissey’s upcoming new album, which will release later this year.
Morrissey is said to be “honoured and thrilled” by Tom Jones and Cliff Richard supporting him which, considering his thorough opposition of everything that the British monarchy stands for and Jones and Richard’s close ties with the Royal Family, seems quite preposterous.
