Stephen Fry Joins ‘24: Live Another Day’

During the original eight season run of “24,” Jack Bauer almost always played off of the sitting U.S. President. With “24: Live Another Day” set to take place in London, it seems only fitting the Prime Minister will show up as well.

Deadline is reporting that Stephen Fry has signed on to “24: Live Another Day” to portray British Prime Minister Trevor Davies, a close friend and ally to President James Heller (William Devane).

Little is known about the storyline for “24: Live Another Day,” but the report notes that Prime Minister Davies’ relationship with President Heller will “come under tremendous pressure because of personal and political crises.”

Even outside of the United Kingdom, Fry is very well known as an actor, a writer, a director and a comedian. Fry’s feature film credits include A Fish Called Wanda, Gosford Park, MirrorMask, V for Vendetta, Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows and The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug.

“24: Live Another Day” is expected to begin production soon. It will premiere on Fox on Monday, May 5.
