CES 2014: Withings Wireless Blood Pressure Monitor on Duty

Health and lifestyle manufacturer Withings has made blood pressure monitoring easier with its new wireless version, adding Android compatibility. The award-winning device, appearing at CES 2014 , is an improved addition to the company’s existing line of integrated, consumer health systems.

Withings teamed up with the American Medical Group Association in their Measure Up/Pressure Down campaign to help at-risk consumers aware of their numbers. The device is user-friendly. With the cuff wrapped around your arm, turn it on, and it automatically connects to a smartphone via Bluetooth, launching the Health Mate application.

Withings produced the app to measure and track heart rates, weight, sleep patterns and activity. Results are shown on screen and saved to the app to track improvements and declines. The best part? The app provides graphs to indicate patterns and allows users to send readings to their doctor.

The unit will soon be available for $129.95.
