Daredevil’s Moving To San Francisco, But Keeping Waid & Samnee

Those of us who were worried that the Eisner Award-winning run on Daredevil by Mark Waid and Chris Samnee was coming to an end apparently needn’t be worried, because that was all part of Marvel’s shell game with the All-New Marvel NOW business. The superstar creators aren’t going anywhere… but Matt Murdock certainly is when the new Daredevil #1 launches this March, spinning out of Waid’s Infinite Comic entitled Daredevil: Road Warrior.  Specifically, Matt and his friends are all relocating to San Francisco – a crazy notion for the hero famous for protecting one specific neighborhood in New York City.

It’s also worth noting that San Francisco’s resident vigilante, The Shroud, won’t be happy with this, either.

This seems like a radical shift for Daredevil, and thus it makes some sense to restart it with a new #1 as a jumping-on point for new readers, and since it’s Waid and Samnee, those new readers should stick around.
