You a Webhead? Sony Rolls Out Spider-Fans Loyalty Program

Summer 2014 will be here a lot faster than you think…and that means the hype machine is already starting to churn for some of next year’s biggest new movies.

Case in point — in anticipation of The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Sony Pictures has rolled out the Amazing Spider-Man Loyalty Program.  It’s a neat little way for Sony to not only activate Spider-maniacs from coast to coast, it also rewards the most rabid Spidey zealotry with cool Spider-prizes.

After signing up through your friendly neighborhood social network at the AmazingSpiderFans website, you’ll get a weekly email tasking you with watching a new AS2 trailer, checking out an AS2 game launch or just updating you on the latest Amazing Spider-Man 2 news.

Prove your Spider-Man bonafides, rack up points for completing tasks, then follow your progress on the leaderboard and see if you can win one of the big monthly prizes.  And everyone is entered for a chance to win a grand prize trip to the AS2 premiere.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 opens in U.S. theaters May 2, 2014.
