Week 5 Pickups
-
Danny Woodhead RB - San Diego (40% owned)
It's been obvious Woodhead is a PPR dream but after Sunday's two TD performance he definitely needs to be picked up in all leagues. Ryan Matthews isn't Barry Sanders; it will be Woodhead getting the ball on third down. I would feel comfortable starting Woodhead in the flex during bye weeks.
-
Nate Washington WR - Tennessee (13% owned)
It will be interesting to see how Wash does with QB Ryan Fitzpatrick, but I think the transition will be smooth. Fitzy had some great moments in Buffalo; he's proven he can be a reliable quarterback. Washington already reeled off a bomb with Fitzpatrick Sunday for a TD -- that's a good sign of things to come. Washington is on pace for 1,328 yards and eight touchdowns this season. He needs to be owned in all leagues.
-
Rashad Jennings RB - Oakland (5% owned)
Darren McFadden has a bum hammy and Marcel Reece is out with a knee injury. Jennings doesn't present an elite prowess, but he's going to carry the workload against the Chargers. If you have a starter on a bye, Jennings could be a great spot start.
-
Robert Woods WR - Buffalo (12% owned)
Woods played more snaps than beloved Stevie Johnson for the second week in a row. Remember when Woods was touted as the best receiver in the nation at USC? He had 80 yards and a TD Sunday against the Ravens. Woods is legit, folks. His stock will depend on how good E.J. Manuel is.
-
Tashard Choice RB - Buffalo (0% owned)
C.J. Spiller is injured and Fred Jackson will be playing hurt. Monitor the running back situation closely. Choice could be a smart flex "choice" this week if both running backs are hampered.
