Tim Sr. and Tim Jr. Win First Edition Of The Amazing Race Canada

Father-son duo Tim Hague Sr. and Tim Hague Jr. have won the first-ever season of “The Amazing Race Canada,” which was also recently renewed for a second season.

“It has been an absolute pleasure and honour to participate in the first ever ‘The Amazing Race Canada,’” said Tim Sr. and Tim Jr. in an official press release. “Coming away having won this incredible title we hope that our accomplishment is inspiring to any who suffer chronic disease or hardship. Our sincere desire is that you find hope in dark days, strength for the task at hand and courage to face the road ahead. Keep fighting!”

“Auditions for Season 2 of ‘The Amazing Race Canada’ will open later this fall,” said host Jon Montgomery via satellite from outside the Canada Olympic Park in Calgary. “So hurry up, get your partner, and start thinking about your audition video.”

“We hope that the tremendous success of Season 1 of ‘The Amazing Race Canada’ will inspire even more Canadians to step up to the mat for Season 2,” said Phil King, President of CTV Programming and Sports. “With so many wonderfully diverse people in this country, from all walks of life and backgrounds, the second season promises to be even more heart-racing than the first.”

“We knew immediately that we had something special on our hands, we had a terrific cast and an exciting host – and that magic clearly resonated with Canadians,” said John Brunton, Executive Producer at Insight Productions. “Season 1 was a love letter to Canada that blossomed into a full blown, record smashing love affair with Canadians.
