The Amazing Race Canada Auditions Highlights Teams Who Didn’t Make The Cut (But Made An Impression)

Bell Fibe TV1 is celebrating the splendour of Canada with the announcement of the third season of The Amazing Race Canada Auditions, hosted by season 4 winners Steph and Kristen and highlighting their picks for the Top 10 audition videos from last season, The Amazing Race Canada Auditions will air Spring 2017, giving eager fans of CTV’s mega-hit series The Amazing Race Canada an opportunity to reminisce before diving into the all-new fifth season, set to premiere this summer.

Bringing together the hosts’ favourite audition submissions from last season, The Amazing Race Canada Auditions will make stops in Toronto, Ottawa, Montreal, Halifax and St. John’s. Not only will the on-demand program provide the unique opportunity to a group of hand-picked teams to re-enact their original audition, it will also give them the opportunity to show Canada the spunk they had hoped to originally capture with their submitted video.

“The concept is a top ten countdown-style show where we’re going to a couple cities and looking at some of the auditions that didn’t quite make it,” explained Steph. Auditions were chosen based on whether they were “goofy, funny, or made us laugh,” she explained from Montreal, where they made a stop at Cirque du Soleil and learned a few tricks. “We do a lot of funny, random stuff, like we waxed these guys’ chests because, in their audition video, they said they’d do anything including getting waxed.”

Since winning The Amazing Race Canada Auditions season 4 in 2016, Steph and Kristen have done anything but slow down. The duo has strapped on backpacks and explored the globe – from New Zealand and Fiji to the UK and Costa Rica they’ve kept their adventurous spirits alive by swimming in volcanoes and planning helicopter rides to glaciers. Their return to Canada will see them step in as the perfect hosts for season 3 of The Amazing Race Canada Auditions, giving Canadians an insider’s look at how their lives have continued to be an exciting adventure since becoming the first all-female team to win Canada’s toughest race.

“This special is really great and a lot of fun to work on,” she said. “What makes it unique is that we are actually meeting teams who auditioned, which is a really cool addition for this year’s show.”

Look for it on Bell Fibe TV1 this spring.
