Academy Award-winning composer Michael Giacchino came back this summer for Star Trek Into Darkness, his second outing in J.J. Abrams’ sci-fi franchise, and CraveOnline ran into him at the red carpet for the Blu-ray release of the blockbuster film. We’re all big Michael Giacchino fans here, so we were pretty darned excited to talk to him about the right way to use Alexander Courage’s original “Star Trek” theme, his new additions for Star Trek Into Darkness, and what his lyrics to the score might be.
