TNT Orders ‘Falling Skies’ Season 4

Tom Mason and the 2nd Mass will return.

TNT has officially announced that “Falling Skies” has been renewed for a fourth season of 10 episodes; which will premiere in the summer of 2014.

“Falling Skies” stars Noah Wyle as Tom Mason, a former college professor turned resistance leader and President, as he attempts to keep his group of survivors alive and defeat the aliens who have laid waste to the planet. Colin Cunningham, Moon Bloodgood, Will Patton, Drew Roy, Connor Jessup and Sarah Carter co-star in the series.

The renewal of “Falling Skies” was hinted in May when TNT hired “Battlestar Galactica” veteran, David Eick as the new showrunner of the series. Eick will take over for Remi Aubuchon, who is departing “Falling Skies” after two seasons. Carol Barbee (“Jericho”) is also joining the “Falling Skies” creative team as a Consulting Producer.

TNT recently picked up two new action series, “The Last Ship” and “Legends” for its 2014 schedule; both of which may be paired with Falling Skies” next summer. If TNT follows its traditional release dates for the series, “Falling Skies” Season 4 should begin in June 2014.
