Extremely Unlikely No. 1 Pick In NBA Draft

As NBA commissioner approached the podium — being booed as loud as ever — to announce the first overall pick in the 2013 NBA Draft, everyone expected to hear a familiar name from a major school — Victor Oladipo from Indiana; Nerlens Noel from Kentucky; Ben McLemore from KU; heck, maybe even Trey Burke out of Michigan.

Instead, the Cleveland Cavaliers selected Anthony Bennett out of UNLV; the first No. 1 overall pick out of Vegas since Larry Johnson. Bennett only spent one year at the school and wasn’t even in most analyst’s top five.

Below are highlights of Bennett. He does look like a beast.

As for Nerlens Noel — he didn’t get selected until the sixth pick to the New Orleans Pelicans (formerly the Hornets). Some suggest he will be traded later Thursday to the Sixers. If you DVR’d the Draft, I highly suggest watching his dead-pan face as pick after pick gets called ahead of him.
