Kit Harington and Sophie Turner are starring opposite each other in the new British gothic film, The Dreadful. The horror film is written and directed by Natasha Kermani. The pair previously played brother and sister in the hugely popular fantasy drama series Game of Thrones.

Entertainment Weekly shared the first look of The Dreadful. It is a British period gothic film set during the 15th century, during the War of the Roses. The film revolves around Anne (Turner), who lives with her mother-in-law, Morwen (Marcia Gay Harden), on the outskirts of the city.

Things take a turn for the worse when a mysterious man (Harington) from Anne’s past suddenly re-enters her life. A curse arrives in the form of a knight, and things are not the same anymore.

In the exclusive stills, Harington and Turner seemingly enjoy each other’s company in the woods. Dressed in complimentary shades of green, they blend perfectly well with the eerie, forest-like setting. Turner’s Anne looked tense, while Harington sports a more relaxed expression. However, in the third snap, the duo relaxes on a sunny beach with smiles on their faces.

Kermani told EW, “Working with this cast was a joy from start to finish, and of course, to see Kit and Sophie back together onscreen was a special thrill. Their friendship and chemistry is impossible to miss and one of my favorite aspects of the film.”

Interestingly, Harington previously confessed he felt “very odd” romancing Turner in the horror film in an interview with E! News. The Eternals star shared, “She was the one that sent that movie to me and somehow didn’t see what I saw in it. I was like, ‘These guys, these are lovers, right?’ I felt very odd about that.”

Not only that, the 39-year-old actor admitted it was “slightly embarrassing” to film romantic scenes with his former on-screen sister. Harington remarked, “It was slightly embarrassing, having to get on an apple box to kiss her because she’s about a foot taller than me.” The Game of Thrones alum playfully quipped, “But other than that, my dignity was pretty intact.”
