Exclusive Announcement: The Boondock Saints II (Director’s Cut)

The success story that is The Boondock Saints has become legendary. Writer/director Troy Duffy was given the reins of his first produced screenplay, and given the bar where he worked at the time, and produced a cult phenomenon that eventually spawned the documentary Overnight and the sequel The Boondock Saints II: All Saints Day ten years later, in 2009. It’s been four years since we last visited Connor and Murphy (Sean Patrick Flannery and Norman Reedus), and while news is scarce about the long-rumored Boondock Saints III, that doesn’t mean you don’t have much more to see.

CraveOnline is exclusively announcing the Blu-ray release of The Boondock Saints II director’s cut, which features 27 minutes of new footage, two commentary tracks, and even more deleted scenes. The Blu-ray will be available exclusively at Best Buy starting July 16, 2013, and we’ve got an exclusive look at the box art and special features for you below.
