Jordan Parsons, an MMA fighter from Florida, succumbed Wednesday to injuries from a hit-and-run last Sunday. He was only 25.
According to CBS12, Parsons was walking in a crosswalk in Delray Beach when an SUV slammed into him around 12:30 a.m. Sunday. After striking him, the SUV took off, leaving Parsons lying severely injured in the roadway. After being taken to a local hospital, he later had to have his right leg amputated before being put in a coma. He was taken off life support Wednesday.
There is a GoFundMe page set up to help cover the costs of Parson’s funeral. As of Thursday morning, there is already more than $35,000 raised out of a $50,000 goal.
