What would you do if today was your last day on Earth? The upcoming sixth season finale of The Walking Dead will pose that question. And for one of the main cast members, it will be their last day!
Negan is coming, and unlike his Saviors, he’s going to inspire real fear and hatred from the Alexandria survivors led by Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln). Negan is an even bigger psychopath than the Governor, and if the TV series remains true to the comics then a fan favorite character won’t make it through their first encounter with Negan.
But first, AMC has released a new preview scene from The Walking Dead’s sixth season finale which finds Lennie James’ Morgan encountering a life affirming sign and a horse without a rider. It’s all very upbeat for this show, so you know that can’t last.
AMC also released an episode trailer for the season finale with a glimpse of Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Negan, and “Lucille,” Negan’s barbwire bat. This trailer also appears to depict Negan’s entrance from the comics.
Do you think you know who’s going to die in the sixth season finale? You probably don’t. Robert Kirkman and The Walking Dead creative team tend to mash up the adaptation and assign characters different fates. But for the finale to have any real bite, the victim has to be from the primary cast.
The Walking Dead season 6 comes to a close on Sunday, April 3 on AMC.
