A video depicting a joyous scene of strangers dancing with one another on the streets of Brighton has gone viral.
The video, which was shared on Facebook by Brighton resident Esda Beevers, shows a selection of passersby joining in with an infectious, impromptu celebration in the middle of the street, dancing along to The Beatles’ ‘Twist and Shout.’
Beevers branded the video “pure joy on the streets of Brighton”, with a range of people of varying ages and backgrounds joining in throughout the video, backed by a busking band’s rendition of the classic track.

With so much negative news frequently being pumped into our brains, and divides between class, race and sexuality consistently formed by our politicians and media, it’s heartening to know that guided by the might of good music, regular British people can still celebrate with one another regardless of their age, the colour of their skin, and their decision to venture into the city wearing a bright gold spandex suit.
