Star Wars’ Daisy Ridley is Recording Music with a “Massive Superstar,” According to JJ Abrams

Star Wars: The Force Awakens actress Daisy Ridley is heading into a recording studio to create new music with a “massive superstar,” according to the sci-fi blockbuster’s director JJ Abrams.

Abrams made the claims during the US-Ireland Alliance’s Oscar Wilde Awards, saying: “One day on set, she just started singing and had the most beautiful voice I ever heard.” He added: “On Saturday, this weekend, she is going to record a song with an unnamed person, but let’s just say a massive superstar.”

There’s evidence of Ridley’s singing prowess online, including the below video of her performing ‘Moon River’:

And this short clip of her and fellow The Force Awakens actor Oscar Isaac singing ‘Baby, It’s Cold Outside’:

There’s no word yet on who the “massive superstar” may be, or whether this recording session is indicative of a new career path for the English actress outside of her portrayal of Rey in the new Star Wars trilogy, but Abrams is definitely not lying about her having some thus far unexplored musical talent judging by these clips.
