We Were Right, Capcom is Releasing Resident Evil 4, 5 and 6 Remakes for PS4 and Xbox One

If you’ll allow me a minute to toot my own horn and to blow my own metaphorical trumpet for a minute, today Capcom has announced that it will be releasing remakes of Resident Evil 4, 5 and 6 for the PS4 and Xbox One, a prediction I made earlier this month.

The remakes are being released as part of Capcom’s celebration of Resident Evil‘s 20th anniversary (which I predicted, like a video game Nostradamus or something) though the games will be released individually and not as part of a trilogy, which I admittedly incorrectly predicted. Humility is another one of my wonderful personality traits.

The remakes will be released throughout the year, starting with Resident Evil 6 on March 29th, with Resident Evil 5 releasing in the summer and Resident Evil 4 in the fall. The games will be available to download digitally for $19.99 / €19.99 / £15.99 each, with physical versions also being available but in the Americas only. They will each include all of their respective post-launch DLC.
