Sting Will Be NBA All-Star Game Halftime Performer

Sting has been named the halftime performer for the NBA All-Star game, scheduled to take place at the Air Canada Centre in Toronto next month.

Cirque du Soleil will do a performance prior to the game, and stars like Drake and Kevin Hart will act as coaches for the celebrity all-star game two days before that. Reports are saying that other stars such as Gwen Stefani, Usher, and Snoop Dogg are also in town for the event.

While some “Roxanne” lovers are excited about the announcement, many are saying Sting is a pretty “ordinary” choice when it comes to a halftime performer (past performers have included Ariana Grande, Earth, Wind and Fire, and Janelle Monae). Proud Canucks are also disappointed that, given the NBA All-Star game is being held here in Canada, a Canadian talent wasn’t chosen for the halftime show.

The NBA All-Star Celebrity Game takes place on February 12th, while the NBA All-Star Game is happening on February 14th.
