The age of the self-proclaimed “lad mag” continues to drawn to an end, as FHM  is set to publish the last-ever edition of its long-standing magazine, with TV host Holly Willoughby gracing the front cover of the final issue.

FHM has been running in the UK for 31 years, though in November 2015 its publishing company Bauer Media announced that it would be suspending its publication. The This Morning presenter will appear on the cover of its last issue, as was revealed today on the breakfast show, in a mostly black-and-white photoshoot which sees her donning leather lingerie,. Speaking in an interview with the mag, she said: “It’s the end of an era and to be part of the final issue before FHM takes its place on the big shelf in the sky, has been a real honour.

“We’ve both grown up together – I’ve had three children and you’ve had 314 issues but now, with a heavy heart, it’s time to bid you a fond farewell.”

After unveiling the cover of the magazine in a segment on This Morning, Willoughby told viewers: “You wait until you see the back page!”

Speaking of her decision to do the shoot, she said: “I loved it when I was there, but when they asked me to do it, I was like ‘really? I think my days might’ve gone… mum of three now’… but that kind of was part of the reason I did it as well.” However, she conceded that she was “so nervous.”

The presenter was previously featured on the cover of FHM in 2008. The last edition of the magazine is available now.
