Knickerbocker Hotel Offers Prime New Year’s Eve Real Estate

In American pop culture, there’s no better place to experience the last great party on the calendar than Times Square on New Year’s Eve. While America watches from parties at home while the giant crystal ball descends on the outgoing annum, the toughest (or most heated) New York souls brave the cold to watch the debauchery in person.

Those with a little more financial resources and ambition can overlook the insanity from the comfort of the Knickerbocker Hotel. The first such celebration at the property in 95 years, the party this will take the property back to its heyday of 1920 – the year the then hotel closed.

The Knickerbocker will set its exclusive guests up 150 feet below the Waterford Crystal Ball on the hotel’s rooftop bar, St. Cloud. The gala is only available to a total of 400 guests and includes a black tie dinner, dancing and drinks at the hotel’s restaurant, Charlie Palmer at the Knick, followed by the rooftop reception and a “hair of the dog” brunch the following morning.

Now, brace. Brace. Brace. Packages start at $2,890 for a 1-night stay for two, including tickets to the bash. It is New York, after all.
