34-year old Snezana Markoski has won the latest series of The Bachelor Australia by capturing the heart of single bloke Sam Wood, but NSW Premier Mike Baird is the real winner of the final rose thanks to an impressively on point Twitter session during last night’s Bachelor finale.
Settling in on the couch as the rest of the country braced itself for the final episode in this season of The Bachelor, Mr Baird let everyone know that he was in for the long haul, just not by choice.
Stuck at home on the couch with man-flu. Daughters have hijacked the TV and are watching The Bachelor. Going to be a loooong night.

As the show progressed, Mr Baird struggled to come to terms with the program’s format, and, because he’s a dad, managed to embarrass his daughters, only to admit to that embarrassment online.

It was at this point that Mr Baird appeared to realise there might be a reason why NSW Treasurer Gladys Berejiklian has been turning down meeting invitations on certain nights of the week.

Next it was The Bachelor‘s slow and oh-so-overly-dramatic music which sent the Premier over the edge and calling for some Aussie dad classics.

Now that the latest season of The Bachelor has come to an end, Channel 10 is jumping straight into a series of The Bachelorette next week, which will see Sam Frost (who won the previous season of The Bachelor before being dumped by former Bachelor Blake Garvey) take her pick of 14 hopeful men.
After hearing about Ms Frost last night, Mr Baird tweeted something which a lot of people have probably thought at some point during Channel 10’s promotions of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette.

It was at around 9pm that Mr Baird succumbed to the inevitably drawn-out finale and signed off for the night, but not before suggesting that the government could actually learn something from those rose ceremonies.
