4-Player Co-op Multiplayer Introduced in Scalebound

Scalebound‘s shaping up pretty nicely if the gameplay footage shown during Microsoft’s Gamescom is anything to go by, with it looking like an odd mix between Monster Hunter and every batshit crazy game creators Platinum Games have ever developed. Now it’s been revealed that you’ll also be able to play the game with your friends, with 4-player co-op multiplayer being revealed.

While the co-op component appeared to be drop-in from the trailer, Platinum didn’t state whether or not that would be the case. It also wasn’t confirmed whether the multiplayer will be online only, or whether players will also have the option of playing the game split-screen.

The demo also gave us a closer look at the game’s protagonist, Drew, who from him his bellowing of “let’s rock baby!” and other such statements appears to fall into the “irritating” category of gaming action heroes. Oh well, we can’t have it all, I suppose.
