Ellie Goulding Drops Hint That She’s Recorded the Theme Song to ‘SPECTRE’

Ellie Goulding has dropped a big hint that she’s taking over theme song duties for the upcoming James Bond movie Spectre, posting a photo of her leaving London’s iconic Abbey Road Studios accompanied with the caption “that’s a wrap!”

Goulding has previously sparked speculation that she’s been handed the honours of producing the film’s theme with a tweet posted earlier this month reading “live and let die,” and after speculation that Sam Smith may have been called up to work on the track were squashed by the singer himself, who also claimed that he’d “heard Ellie Goulding was going to do it,” it seems likely that the ‘Burn’ singer has been enlisted to contribute to Spectre‘s soundtrack.

Adele’s ‘Skyfall’ was also recorded at Abbey Road Studios, and if Ellie Goulding’s theme even boasts a semblance of its predecessor’s popularity then we should anticipate it becoming omnipresent, even long after Spectre itself has stopped playing in cinemas.

Spectre will be released in the UK on October 26th alongside the film’s London premiere, with it set for release internationally on November 6th.
