The Flash Season 2: First Look At Barry Allen’s New Flash Costume

In the first season finale of The Flash, Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) inadvertently caused a rupture in space-time because of his time travel attempt to save his mother. When last seen, Barry was running into the vortex of a black hole where he was killed, and the Earth was destroyed.

Wait, that last part didn’t happen? Then I guess it’s time to unveil the new costume that Barry will be wearing this fall on The CW!

The biggest change is the lightning bolt insignia on Barry’s chest, which now has white in the symbol, just like the future Flash had. This change was teased last season, but it will apparently be a part of the new suit. This costume still isn’t an exact match for The Flash’s comic book outfit, but it’s a step in the right direction.

Joining The Flash this season is Teddy Sears, who will play the original Flash, Jay Garrick. According to reports out of Comic-Con, Jay Garrick will arrive from an alternate Earth to warn Barry about the danger posed by Zoom, another version of The Reverse-Flash. In the first season finale, the winged helmet was from Jay’s Flash costume. At some point, The CW will release an image of Sears in his Flash costume.

Another new addition to the cast is Shantel VanSanten, who is set to play Patty Spivot, the new partner of Detective West (Jesse L. Martin) and Barry’s new love interest.

The Flash will return to The CW for its second season premiere on Tuesday, October 6.
