Liam Gallagher Teaming Up With Roger Daltrey For TFI Friday Supergroup

Liam Gallagher and The Who’s Roger Daltrey are reportedly teaming up for a one-off performance in the upcoming TFI Friday comeback special.

Gallagher and Daltrey will also be joined by The Lightning Seeds’ Ian Broudie and Ringo Starr’s son/former Oasis drummer Zak Starkey for the performance, which The Sun has confirmed will take place during the live special after a statement was released to the tabloid by a spokesman.

The spokesman confirmed that the group would perform a rendition of The Who’s ‘My Generation’ during the show, which is set to be aired at 9pm GMT on June 12th. However, this will not be the first time Gallagher and Daltrey have performed together, as Liam previously appeared onstage with The Who for a rendition of ‘My Generation’ during the band’s ‘The Who Hits 50’ tour.

TFI Friday’s one-off return will also see musical performances from the likes of Blur and Stone Roses. The show will once again be hosted by Chris Evans, returning to the show he departed back in 1999. Evans has already stated that infamous segments of the ’90s programme such as ‘Freak or Unique’, ‘It’s Your Letters’ and ‘Show Us Your Face Then’ will be making their return.
