Liam Gallagher: “Oasis Should Never Have Split Up”

Liam Gallagher has commented on the possibility of an Oasis reunion, saying that the band “should never have split up” at the premiere of the Oasis documentary Supersonic.

Liam attended the premiere of the documentary despite Noel being a no-show, with the younger Gallagher saying that the event probably “wasn’t f***ing A-list enough” for his brother, according to the Mail Online. However, in a separate interview with Sky News, Liam shed some light on where he thinks the future lies for Oasis, stoking the fire of the speculation that the band will soon reunite.

Speaking with the broadcaster, Liam said: “It’s not like I want [Oasis] back… it don’t feel like it’s split up in my head, d’you know what I mean? I feel like it’s just our kid having his Kevin Keegan moment.”

He continued: “If it happens tomorrow, I’m ready, my bags are packed. If it happens in a year, I’m still ready. If it happens in ten years, I’m ready… I’m f***ing ready full stop.”

However, Liam noted that he wouldn’t be standing with a”banjo and a little f***ing skinny, string dog outside [Noel’s] house going ‘Please sit! I need a f***ing bandmate'”, so it seems the ball is firmly in Noel’s court as to whether Oasis will reunite.

In the past Noel has said that it would take both Liam and himself “to be very skint” for an Oasis reunion to ever happen, adding: “I know for a fact that ain’t gonna happen.” But unfortunately for Liam, a high-profile divorce with ex-wife Nicole Appleton may have caused him to reconsider his future in the music business, and decide that reforming Oasis may be the wisest move for him to make right now.
