Onerepublic Making Its Way Across Canada

American band Onerepublic is taking its new tour across Canada with four stops north of the border – Edmonton, Winnipeg, Calgary and Vancouver are on the bill to host the band.

The group, who is made up of lead singer Ryan Tedder, along with Zach Filkins, Brent Kutzle, drummer Eddie Fisher and guitarist Drew Brown, got their 10-city tour started in Quebec last week. “We love Canada. It’s always nice to be here because it feels so far away from home, but yet it’s so close,” said Fisher to CBC News.

“Quebec City was cool because it was the first time we spent time there. We were in Old Town the whole time, which was like being in the set of medieval movie. It was amazing,” Tedder said. “We’re just normal people. We just like to write songs that make people feel something and move them.”

Onerepublic’s most recent project, the album Native, came out in 2013 and was their third studio album. “We’re really excited about it, we think it’s the best thing that we’ve ever done,” said Brown.

Tickets for the Onerepublic shows are available through Ticketmaster.
