California self-help rockers Incubus will debut a new song called “Absolution Calling” to the world on February 5th, when it gets aired on KROQ’s Kevin and Bean show. But over the weekend the guys took to Facebook to let a few teaser seconds slip from what’s presumably the track’s intro:
The new single leads plans for two EPs set for 2015, before a new album campaign takes flight. The last full-length we heard from Brandon Boyd and the boys from 2011’s If Not Now, When?, which was self-described by the band as an “unabashed, romantic, lush, sonic love letter to the world.” We agreed wholeheartedly, with an immersive review of the record.
“We’re planning on releasing two installments that will total an album, two EPs,” the band’s Mike Einziger revealed in a Billboard interview. “We’re hoping to put out the first one in February or March, then the summer.”
