Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn is one of the best MMOs I’ve played in the past decade. If you’re a Final Fantasy fan, and/or enjoy MMOs, I highly recommend you give it a try. Thankfully, now you can see what it’s all about at no cost whether or not you own a gaming PC, as its free trial has been opened up to both the PS4 and PS3 platforms.
The free trial does have a catch, though. There is an imposed level limit of 20, you can’t trade with other players, and you also can’t join a Free Company (guild). But those are some thin negatives when you consider you can try the game out for half a month without spending a dime.

Patch 2.4 recently ushered a ton of new content and features to FFXIV: A Realm Reborn including the Rogue and Thief, new dungeons, a Shiva primal battle, and more. Soon, 2.5 will bring Gold Saucer among other additions, followed by the arrival of the game’s first expansion, Heavensward.
