A fourth patch for Assassin’s Creed Unity is set to release across all platforms on December 15th, which Ubisoft claims will fix a number of issues with the game.

In a statement made on the official Assassin’s Creed website, Ubisoft wrote: “We expect that Patch 4 will be released next week on Monday, December 15 across all platforms. This patch will address issues with stability and performance as well as online matchmaking and connectivity (among other fixes and improvements).”

The latest release in the Assassin’s Creed series has been heavily criticized for its poor quality at the time of its launch, with a sub-par framerate and a myriad of other performance issues, including well-documented odd glitches, standing to disappoint fans of the franchise.

However, a big backlash among critics and consumers alike didn’t prevent it from breaking it into the top 10 best-selling games of November, a packed month of releases which, considering the amount of vitriol AC Unity’s launch inspired, it did well to make it in.

With many owners of the game claiming that patch 3 didn’t fix a number of prominent issues with the game, many will be hoping that patch 4 rights this wrong.
