Crave is proud to premiere the pilot episode of Sacrebleu, a parody-on-parody web series mocking reality shows featuring Sinner Sinners & Yard Of Blondes, two French bands recently relocated in Los Angeles. The two collectives join forces to conduct rock-star interviews for insight on making it in Hollywood – but as the first episode clearly indicates, it’s a direct channel into the world of fucking shit up in the most ridiculously fun way imaginable.
Picture five-minute episode versions of VH1’s Behind The Music, only without linear form, driven by the spirit of Eric Andre on a wide assortment of amphetamines and hallucinogens, and made to incite a mind-riot of kaleidoscopic oddity. Intentionally shot on a shoestring budget, Sam, Fanny, Steve and Vincent put their guests into uniquely awkward situations in each segment, asking them irrelevant and/or perplexing questions. In the premier episode, debuted exclusively on Crave, Eagles of Death Metal frontman and nucleus Jesse Hughes brings the Sacrebleu crew into his world. A brief rundown of events include smoking blunts, driving around Amsterdam discussing the sociopolitical morality of being a Michael Jackson fan, Hughes rocking the fuck out onstage with Sinner Sinners and more before pulling a gun on the entire crew. All in a day’s work in Hollywood…
“L.A. is the only place where you can fail, and then reinvent yourself,” Hughes muses. “If at first you don’t succeed, destroy all evidence you ever tried, and kill all witnesses.”
