Adele Reportedly Working with Damon Albarn on New Album

Adele is rumoured to be worked with Blur frontman and Gorillaz co-creator Damon Albarn on her next album.

Adele has yet to release a follow-up to 2011’s 21, which proved to be a global hit for the singer, though she allegedly met with Albarn in his west London studio in order to begin work on her next LP.

This rumour started circulating thanks to a news post from The Sun, so consider us a little suspicious. According to the tabloid, an unnamed source claimed that “Damon and Adele had a chat about her new album and they could work together in future.”

The source added: “Adele’s exploring loads of different avenues for the music and isn’t rushing anything, but the album will be released next year.”

While a collaboration between the pair would be interesting, with Albarn stating his next musical project would be a musical based upon a children’s book, possibly followed by a new Gorillaz album, it seems somewhat unlikely that he could fit time in his schedule to produce an album for a multi-million dollar singer such as Adele. This is also suggesting that Adele is in any way concerned with working on her next LP at any point in the near future, as she has mostly stayed out of the spotlight since promoting 21 throughout 2011 and 2012.
