Soundwave 2015 Second Lineup Announced

After a number of delays, the second Soundwave 2015 lineup announcement has finally arrived. Led by bands such Killer Be Killed, Dragonforce and Fucked Up, the announcement sees 15 new acts join the already impressive Soundwave bill, which already included artists such as Faith No More, Slipknot and Marilyn Manson.

Soundwave promoter AJ Maddah teased the inclusion of the “#JusticeLeagueOfRock” supergroup, aka Killer Be Killed, in October. The group, who formed in 2011, consist of The Dillinger Escape Plan vocalist Greg Puciato and Soulfly/Cavalera Conspiracy/ex-Sepultura/Nailbomb frontman Max Cavalera. The supergroup also includes Mastodon bassist and co-vocalist Troy Sanders and former The Mars Volta drummer Dave Elitch.

Other bands added on the lineup today include He Is Legend, Evergreen Terrace, Butcherettes, Lower Than Atlantis and Twin Atlantic. The full lineup can be viewed below.

The second Soundwave lineup was expected to arrive in late September, but was postponed a number of times, with Maddah revealing he would be adding another three acts to the festival bill. Two of those three acts were later named as Nonpoint and Bayside, who are on today’s announcement.

As Music Feeds reported, Maddah has confirmed via Twitter that a third lineup will arrive before Christmas. Maddah has also told a punter via Twitter that the bands in the third lineup announcement will be “slightly bigger” than those announced today.
